• Check-out : Depart before 11am. Please run the dishwasher and take out the rubbish. Leave bathrooms, toilets, kitchens and dishes clean, and replace the blankets on the beds (no need to fold them as the sheets will be changed).

Heating and hot water

Use only the wood provided. Open the damper by pulling the tab and allow it to return to the closed position, or if you wish to keep it open longer, use the grey metal wedge. Never leave the stove unattended while there are flames, only when there are only embers remaining. Never place anything on top of the stove or against its glass, as this may cause a fire or leave marks on the stove.

Do not touch the buttons or remote control – the owner manages the automatic ignition/shut-off sequences. Report any issues (too hot, not hot enough, timing adjustments needed according to schedule). By default, ignition at 5:30 PM upon return from hikes/skiing for drying, then intermittent operation until around 10:00 PM depending on outdoor temperature. Re-ignition at 7:30–8:00 AM for morning and breakfast in the mountain room, shut-off at 9:00 AM when leaving for skiing or hiking. Each evening, check the pellet level through the black hatch on top, and carefully add a few scoops of pellets using the black plastic scoop placed on the pellet reserve to the right of the stove.

House rules

• Non-smoking accommodation

  Please do not smoke indoors. Outdoors, it is forbidden to throw your cigarette butts onto the street, in the garden, on the terrace, or onto a neighbouring plot. Only use the ashtrays provided (1 on the terrace, and 1 on the small front steps leading directly to the first-floor living area. Please return them to us upside down upon arrival so they do not fill with rainwater in your absence) and empty them into an outdoor bin upon departure to avoid ash scattering. Be considerate and respectful of the property. Above all, never discard lit cigarette butts anywhere, as there is a risk of fire... (recent events in the area).

• Ski boots

  Remove boots at the entrance.

• Check-out condition

  Please leave the property tidy, dishes clean and bins out. Final cleaning is taken care of by us.

• Stove & fireplace

  Use only the firewood provided, never leave a fire unattended, and empty cooled ashes into the dedicated container.

• No parties

  Parties and events are not allowed without the owner's written consent.

• Waste sorting

  Please sort your waste and take out the bins to the indicated area before departure.

• Smoking outside

  Please smoke only in the two designated areas: the ground-floor balcony-terrace (caution, it overlooks the garden by 2 metres) and the natural terrace on the right side of the house (when facing the house from the lane). An ashtray is provided at each location. Dropping cigarette butts on the ground is strictly prohibited anywhere: garden, meadow, lane. In the lane: never in the evening (voices carry in the hamlet), possible during the day provided no butts are left behind.

• Noise & respect for neighbours

  We live in the heart of a hamlet: noise carries, especially with windows open, on the balcony or doorstep. After 10 pm, no loud music or noise; close windows if the evening continues indoors, keep voices low outside, and maintain discretion until 8 am. No parties or outdoor sound systems.

• Pets

  Pets are not permitted inside the chalet, thank you for your understanding.

• Energy & water

  Water and heating are precious in the mountains: please lower the heating and switch off lights when leaving.

• Breakage & damage

  Please report any breakage or malfunction during your stay: it is usually of no consequence.

• Do not move the furniture

  Please leave all furniture in its original position: beds, sofas, armchairs, chairs, tables and equipment must not be moved. Only small appliances designed for use (raclette or fondue machines, kitchen utensils) may be moved and must be put away after use.

• Housekeeping & cleaning during your stay ❄️ Winter🌱 Spring☀️ Summer🍂 Autumn

  During your stay, no deep cleaning is strictly necessary, but a few simple rules will help preserve the predominantly wooden interiors: 1. Keep outdoor gear off the upper floor. Use the mountain room on the ground floor (the multi-purpose entrance) and, above all, the decking area for ski boots and walking shoes. The pellet stove automatically ignites around 5:00 PM each winter evening to dry gear and the house (never cover it). Use the chairs at the table to hang damp items, and the wheeled wardrobe to hang trousers near the stove—but never closer than 60 cm! 2. Maintain clean dishes daily. Use the dishwasher for upstairs crockery, but wash breakfast or children’s snack items in the ground-floor sink (recommended due to the tiled flooring; the upstairs parquet—sometimes with gaps—does not tolerate spills well). Carrying full or dirty dishes between floors is risky due to the wooden floors—please use dishes where they are used. 3. Keep all wooden surfaces dry to prevent natural wood from absorbing moisture, swelling, warping, or developing unsightly water rings. 4. The upstairs bathroom and WC near the kitchen are best used by careful adults or older children, as the solid oak parquet flooring—sometimes with gaps—cannot withstand water splashes (except for a few drops on the bath mat, which should be wiped after use). 5. Please minimise moving dishes or liquids outside the kitchen/dining area. Avoid taking any food or liquids into the bedrooms. For meals on the terrace or balcony, we recommend exiting via the exterior or, if weather prevents it, using the stairs with care. At the end of your stay, we kindly ask you to: - Wash all dishes thoroughly - Ensure the dishwasher is running and finishes no later than midday on your departure day, so our concierge can empty it before the next guests arrive - Vacuum all floors (one vacuum per floor) - Wipe kitchen worktops, sink areas, and the sinks themselves with a sponge, and clean the ovens, microwave, hobs, coffee makers, and kettles - Clean and disinfect the toilets (brush, flush twice), and ensure bathtubs and washbasins are spotless (wipe washbasins with a sponge to remove toothpaste or shaving foam) - Finally, mop the upstairs kitchen/dining parquet with hot water only (no cleaning products) If these tasks are kept up during your stay, they’ll take just 30 minutes at the end—leaving the chalet as clean and healthy as you found it, especially protecting the woodwork, which—as you now know—does not tolerate water well.
