Belvédère Loop
Easy and sunny trail with a short steep climb, passing by the Avals path and near the Pralin farms.
Botanical trail and Cascade des Poux – Laition Forest
The pond of newts: take a moment to pause and observe this iconic amphibian of wetland habitats. Be discreet so it emerges from its hiding place. *Please note: the alpine newt is a vulnerable and protected species in France!*
From the heart of the village, the cable car takes you up to 2000 metres in just 10 minutes. In winter: access to alpine ski runs leading to the Champagny, La Plagne or Paradiski® ski areas. In summer: set off on scenic hikes or mountain bike trails.

Little Mont Blanc

Mont Charvet Ridges
This elevated trail winds through sinkholes, offering breathtaking views. At Le Biol, you’ll spot a lone stone—the remains of the old refuge swept away by an avalanche in 1999.
Pedestrian route to La Chapelle du Bozelet
Explore the south-facing slopes of Champagny-en-Vanoise via Les Combes to reach the summit of Mont de la Guerre and the Chapelle du Bozelet. Surrender yourself to breathtaking panoramic views.
Plassa Pass
This trail leads to a monumental cairn (3.5m high). Beyond the pass, a vast scree slope unfolds, where the wreckage of a plane that crashed on 19 December 1969 can still be seen.
Portetta Gap
Discover the small Savoyard Dolomites: a mineral atmosphere amidst towering peaks. Beware of snow patches early in the season. Do not park for too long at the foot of the cliffs (risk of falling rocks).
Pralin-Mugnier Meadow
Discover the pastures of the AOP Beaufort cheese, with breathtaking views of La Dent du Villard. Upon reaching the Pralin-Mugnier farms, enjoy the picnic tables.
Round the Dent
This wild and unspoilt loop features geological curiosities linked to gypsum. Very little frequented; inform someone of your precise route, set off early, and do not venture out in the event of a storm.
The 1,000 Steps Trail – Col de la Chal
A slightly more challenging route to reach the Dent du Villard. It requires a bit of effort, but the reward is the breathtaking sight of the sinkholes. What’s that? Come and see for yourself—just like the chamois, take the grand tour via the Col de la Chal!
The Col de Leschaux – Round-trip hiking trail
Limestones, gypsums, quartzites, metamorphic rocks... This route offers you an exceptional panorama over the massifs surrounding the Pralognan valley, like an open book of geology.
The Dôdes
Head south from the village for a lovely family walk through woods and meadows.
The Mont Chevrier – Round-trip Hiking
Naturally wooded plateau of mountain pines and spruces, it also offers a stunning view over the hamlets of Les Granges, La Croix and the Pralognan valley.
Villeneuve Rock
This lesser-known summit offers breathtaking views of the Vanoise glaciers. It is then advisable to descend via the Col de la Dent.
Walk to La Pointe de la Vélière
Take a deep breath of fresh mountain air as you hike along the sun-drenched southern slopes of Champagny-en-Vanoise, winding through the Combe des Arriérés, and soak in breathtaking panoramic views.
Walking route Le Châtelard – Les Montagnettes
Take in a stunning view of the Grand Bec, the Pralognan valley and the Vanoise glaciers as you stroll along this charming trail that winds uphill through woodland towards the alpine pastures.
Woodland walk Miollet Forest
Take the cable car and follow a woodland trail that takes you through the hamlets of Les Combes and along the piste des Bois (a ski run in winter). A pleasant and easy downhill route. Enjoy the sunshine and the views of the peaks!

The Rosière reservoir is a beautifully designed spot for family fishing in the heart of the lush green mountains.

Champagny – La Porcière Ski Touring Route
With its breathtaking views of the Grand Bec and the Vanoise Glaciers, this route offers steep gradients designed for strong skiers, though shortened, it can also be ideal for beginners.

The Torchet climbing school is located below the hamlet of "Les Rochers" in Champagny Village. The site features gentle schist slabs ranging from 15 to 20 metres in height.
Climbing site at La Grande Roche
Nestled in the heart of the Vanoise massif, above the village of Champagny-le-Haut, you’ll discover the unique charm of climbing amidst some of the most stunning peaks.
The Ravière crag is located near the hamlet of the same name at 1,640m, above Champagny-en-Vanoise. It features 14 bolted routes ranging from 12 to 15m, with fixed anchors, karabiners, a 40m rope, and 6 quickdraws.
Climbing site Les Contreforts de la Grande Marianne
The site is located at the La Grande Marianne pass, 25 minutes from the refuge heading towards the Col des Galinettes and the Grand Bec refuge. Currently, this site offers three routes, with a fourth in progress.
Climbing: Multi-pitch route: Cassien Route - Le Grand Bec (South Face)
High mountain climb on the south face of Le Grand Bec starting from the Grand Bec refuge. The approach route is the same as for the West Ridge or when exiting the route on Friday the 13th.
Climbing: Multi-pitch route: Eau de Mai - Pointe de la Vuzelle (North Face)
Mountain trail over a developed length of approximately 300m. Access: 15 minutes before arriving at the Grand Bec refuge and around 50 minutes from the Plan Fournier terminal car park.
Climbing: Multi-pitch route: Le Grand Bec - Granger Route (West Face)
High mountain climb of around 20 pitches over a 1000m route with technical difficulty. Overall graded AD+, but requiring good physical stamina due to its length and commitment.

Panoramic setting next to the Grand Bec with a pleasant approach walk. Beautiful alpine meadow with numerous water points.
Courchevel – Col de la Platta
Discover this 24.7 km gravel route near Courchevel, featuring a cumulative ascent of over 960 m.
Enduro Mountain Bike Route Les Genévriers
24 (blue) – The Junipers / Type: Enduro A less technical enduro with a good gradient, perfect for beginners or warming up at the start of the day.
In the Bonrieu de Bozel area, along the Doron de Champagny and its tributaries, anglers will find brown trout and brook trout. Fishing permits available: Tourist Office – all types of permits sold year-round.
Fishing site at Lac de La Rosière and mountain streams
Nicknamed 'the green diamond of the Alps', you’ll be at the foot of the stunning Dent du Villard at an altitude of 1,519 metres. Here, you can fish for rainbow and brown trout as well as brook trout.

MTB Route - The Valley of Avals
Choose an electric mountain bike (E-MTB) to discover, with little effort, the Tarentaise Vanoise valley. On easy, signposted and quiet paths, you are promised to enjoy the most beautiful landscapes and hidden gems of the area.
Municipal swimming pool
The heated municipal pool (28°C) features a retractable roof and offers a spacious shared pool area: two 25-metre lanes for swimmers and a shallow, family-friendly splash pool. A paddling pool is also available for toddlers.

Challenge yourself on this steep and athletic climb above Champagny-le-Bas, designed for experienced climbers.
Via ferrata of La Rosière Lake
Designed for discovering the via ferrata, this unusual route overlooks La Rosière Lake and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Guidance by a qualified instructor is mandatory for children under 40 kg.

Chambéranger (1,250 m) is a quintessential village that embodies the pure mountain tradition: steep lanes, clusters of houses clinging to the slope... A fine example of how a mountain community has adapted to a challenging geography.
Hydraulica Gallery
This interpretive centre, through its scenography, reveals all the secrets of hydroelectricity and its history, which have shaped the Bozel Valley.
Dominating the village from its gypsum promontory, this charming building with its surprisingly leaning bell tower houses some gems of Savoyard Baroque art. Climb the steps and pass through its Baroque doorway to discover them...
Between the village and the alpine pastures, nestled on the sunlit mountainside, lie the *montagnettes*—these hamlets inhabited temporarily according to the seasonal movements of people and livestock: Gros Murger, La Rochette, Mollard, Pelapoët, Plan Fournier, and Vers le Saut.
The Planay (1,130 m) is characterised by houses on either side of the road leading to Pralognan-la-Vanoise. In this valley floor between La Dent du Villard (2,280 m) and La Vuzelle (2,654 m), it is surprising to come across a 'modern' church.

The Dent du Villard is a summit offering a stunning panoramic view of the Vanoise mountain ranges, Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks. What makes this summit unique is its gypsum composition, which creates a surprising landscape.
Lake of La Rosière
Nestled at the foot of the Vallée des Avals, Lac de la Rosière is the starting point for numerous hikes. The Père Fritsch botanical trail offers the chance to discover a wide variety of plant species, and a via ferrata has been specially designed for beginners.
The Dent du Villard forest is criss-crossed by numerous trails, and its summit offers a stunning viewpoint over the Vanoise. Here, you’ll find a rare European pine forest of mountain pines on gypsum soil.
